A Month of Valentines

The 25th Street location of Grounds for Coffee is serving up dreamy concoctions for the month of February, with everything from the innocent ‘Lover’s Tea Latte’ (choice of tea with a splash of lavender syrup and steamed milk) to the more extreme ‘XXX’ – a spiced up version of a dirty chai latte.

Bella Muse Gallery is hosting a chocolate tasting during art stroll with the Hatch Family Chocolatier’s.  Check out their event page and drop by between 6:00 and 9:00 on Friday, February 6th.

Now through V-Day you can enjoy 30% off the bath bombs from Making Scents Emporium. Choose from delicious scents like grapefruit, rain, black raspberry vanilla and about a dozen others. Don’t like one of their stock scents? You can mix your own for a custom lotion, bubble bath, salt soak and more.

If you’ve played out the dinner and a movie date, Ben Lomond Suites is where you’ll want to be. Poison Ivy Mysteries is putting on a mystery dinner on Valentine’s Day with a complete dinner by MacCool’s. It’s a date night to die for! Be sure to purchase tickets in advance.

The Queen Bee will hosting a chocolate tasting on Valentines Day at 6 pm. Tickets are $10 and reservations are required. You’ll get to try six different bars and receive a discount in the shop after the tasting. Contact the shop for details.

Rovali’s Ristorante is celebrating Valentine’s on both Friday and Saturday with candle lit dinners and romantic specials – they have a secret dessert menu just for Valentine’s. Friday night’s dinner will also feature live entertainment from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, reservations are recommended.

Color Me Mine has a whole line up of Valentine’s activities, starting with a “Tweens” class for “Denim Divas”, a “Customs Class” on February 5th and you can drop in on any given day to pick a project from their Love Edition Gift Guide.

There’s also the Banff Mountain Film Festival at Peery’s Egyptian, with screenings over Valentine’s Weekend.

Love is definitely in the air on Historic 25th!
