This month Art Stroll falls on what is the closing of spring break for some folks and the kickoff of break for others – whether you’re starting or ending your break, 25th Street is the place to be this Friday night.
For those of you without school kids we’ll just say art stroll is a good excuse to pop downtown, like you needed another! Come for dinner, browse the retail shops and stop in to see some great pieces by local artists.
April Art Stroll is Friday, the 3rd, roughly 5 to 9 pm but you’ll want to check with individual retailers for special hours.
Pandemonium has a mixed media series from Jill Johnson as well as several new pieces by Nathan Shumate.
“For Science” mixed media by Jill Johnson.
If you’re looking for something a bit smaller, Green the World is featuring a block exhibit by Jackson & Francis. The funky black and white paintings are all 6×6 and come in four to six block groupings.
Art House Cinema has three screenings during the Art Stroll, with the first one starting at 5 pm. Choose from What We Do in the Shadows, Kung Fu Elliot and Still Alice.
Bella Muse Gallery is hosting a special trunk show with local business Hippie Skin. Hippie Skin was developed and produced right here on Historic 25th Street! At the trunk show you’ll get to learn about natural skin care and have a chance to sample some of the products, including Hippie Luxe and Hippie Honey.
As always, we recommend walking the full street from Washington to Wall so you can see everything that’s going on. And while you’re out and about, share your journey down 25th Street using the tag #historic25 and let us know what you’re up to and what you find. We’ll see you there!
