Every month we highlight some of our top picks for First Friday Art Stroll entertainment. There’s lots more than just our list so be sure to take your time strolling the street and pop in at all of the activities and venues along Historic 25th Street.
Lavender Vinyl will be showing the art of Todd Oberndorfer (of the Banyan Collective) with The Art as Matter Project which features printmaking, typography and imagery to promote critical thinking.
Peery’s Egyptian is doing tours from 6 to 9 pm, tonight will be the last chance to take a tour in 2016. See the front of house and behind the scenes, get an upclose look at the Mighty Wurlitzer, and you even have a chance to purchase one of the historic theater seat backs.
25th Street Treasures is hosting a pirate theme shopping night with light refreshments, which is a perfect pairing for the upcoming stage show ‘Pirated! By Jim Christian’ coming to the amphitheater next weekend. This will be the first stage production in more than a decade! The musical is about a 1930’s movie shoot for the Pirates of Penzance gone awry. It promises to be riotous fun for the whole family. Get tickets.
The Diamond Room will have cake and punch and will be featuring two local photographers work. Both Kevin Mead and Linus Stubbs will have their work on display.
