Christmas Village

Since its beginning in 1962, Christmas Village has become one of our favorite parts of the Christmas tradition.

Featuring more the sixty Christmas houses and millions of festive lights, Ogden’s Christmas Village is the winter wonderland of your grandmother’s collection brought to life. It all starts the Saturday after Thanksgiving with the Electric Light Parade and Opening Ceremony.

Following the Santa Run which begins at 4:30, the Electric Light Parade will be November 26th at 5:30 pm heading South on Washington Blvd from 22nd to 26th Street. Santa arrives on the last float of the parade, illuminating Christmas Village as soon as he reaches the Municipal Gardens.

The parade floats remain on display on Historic 25th Street throughout the night.

The opening ceremony is capped off by a fireworks show.

For the remainder of the village season, Santa is at his castle for photos and to share wish lists, Monday through Friday 6pm to 9pm, Saturdays 5pm to 9pm. Photos are $5 and support the ongoing maintenance of Christmas Village.

Catch live performances in the amphitheater all month long, Tuesday through Friday at 6:30 pm.

Polar Express train rides are available throughout the month as well, Monday through Friday from 6pm to 9pm and on Saturdays from 5pm to 9pm. The train is located on the east side of the park, near the Fallen Firefighters Memorial.

If you’re dying to see the Village before it opens, you can take this virtual tour thanks to Ogden City’s Story Map featuring all 62 houses, sponsor information and the year it was added to the village.
