July Art Stroll

June 30, 2016 In: art, community, nightlife, special events Comments (None)

We are in our absolute favorite time of year when downtown is hopping morning, noon and night! If you’re looking for fun, whatever your definition, you can find it here. This weekend kicks of early with the Ogden Twilight finale on Thursday evening, leading into First Friday Art Stroll and of course Farmers Market Ogden on Saturday.

Saying there’s something for everyone sounds awfully trite but it’s true!!

Ogden Twilight

On Thursday enjoy Peter Bjorn & John as the grand finale of the Twilight Series – the evening begins with the National Parks, then Jim Adkins (of Jimmy Eat World) and wrapping it all up under the states with PBJ.

What we’ve loved about Twilight is the incredible diversity it brings downtown. Consider it an O-town meet and greet, the place to see and be seen. Great music, cold beer, good eats and great friends.

First Friday Art Stroll

The July Art Stroll is jam packed with new art, new ways to enjoy art and new ways to participate. Here are a few of our featured stops along the stroll this month:

Grounds for Coffee will have an interactive community tribute to those affected by the Orlando shooting, both locally for our Ogden community and the Orlando community.

Pandemonium will be featuring the art of Danial Tyrell Larsen

The Photo Shoppe has Phyllis Mache, a life-sized papier mache, on display.

Lavender Vinyl is making their debut art stroll appearance with Ashley Ellis as the first artist. It’s going to be a sneak peak of the new record store which has its grand opening the very next day! We’d love to see all of you there supporting!

Farmers Market Ogden

The new market kicked off last weekend and we couldn’t be more excited about the changes, the new layout and all the fun the market has to offer. Farmers Market Ogden operates Saturdays, June 25th to September 17th, 9 am to 2 pm.

There’s a multitude more produce (though the season is still getting started so come early for best selection), there’s live music throughout the street and community activities to partake in as well – all starting with by-donation-only yoga at 8 am.

For all the info check out farmersmarketogden.com and be sure to follow on social @farmersmarketogden (all new social, look for the beet to know you have the right one)

We’ll see you down here!
